Organically grown and handpicked at over 5,900 feet high, this is real “high mountain” tea. Growing in a remote part of Yunnan Province, China a small county called Jing gu has some of China’s finest black tea gardens in the world. It is known as Yunnan’s finest black tea region. This tea plantation is very remote and not your typical tea plantation as it is a dangerous drive to get there through various winding, muddy, dirt roads. The tea plantation has a “wild character” which fits Wild Tea Qi’s principals of how tea should be grown. Yunnan black tea with golden needles signifies it is made of newly sprouted tips, which is the tastiest part. This tea has a red apple, cocoa bean aroma and flavors of of slightly roasted cocoa beans with a roasted cane sugar sweetness.

Tea Master Wang Feng
Wang Feng and her family come from a long lineage of tea artisans deep in the heart of Yunnan Province. Her father was the first member of her family to share their tea with the outside world. In Yang Ta Mountain it has literally over 2,000 years of history in tea cultivation, with a special focus on ancient tea trees and in this mountain has lots small hills that collected most wonderful ancient tea trees. ver 2,000 years ago, Wang Feng’s ancestors’ tribe was starving from lack of food and drought. The tribal leader of the village had a vision that his people needed to go to what is now Yang Ta Mountain in Yunnan Province.
