The flavour of marzipan and the taste of caramel candy - these are the natural dates of the Medjool variety. This popular dried fruit with a high content of natural sugars is not only a delicious ingredient for preparing sweet food, but such a great treat and a quick source of energy.Â
Dates are very popular especially for their sweet taste. In addition, they contain valuable nutritional treasures that have beneficial effects on the health, blood and vitality of the whole organism.
Medjool dates are the most nutritious dates from Israel! Ours come from controlled organic farming. Thanks to this, they retain all their valuable leaves in their full blossom, free from harmful substances.Â
Their ingredients are a hit.
Medjool dates are the fruit of the date tree(Phoenix dactylifera). MedjoolÂis a special variety of Israeli dates, known as 'winged dates', which are much larger, sweeter and more nutritious than others. They have a distinct cinnamon scent and honey-caramel flavour and are therefore most often used to flavour sweet dishes.
Thanks to the unique combination of natural sugars and fibre, dates are a great healthy snack to give you energy for any activity.
Our Medjool Organic Dates are 100% natural, grown using organic methods. Therefore, they retain a lot of minerals, fiber and other valuable health benefits.
Medjool BIO dates are packed with goodness. They do not contain any preservatives such as sulphur dioxide or added sugar, yet they are very sweet!
What makes dates great?
Dates are naturally high in carbohydrateswhile being low in fat. They have a pleasantly sweet taste and a welcome aroma. Due to their high content of highly utilizable glucose, they are a rich and quick source of energy. They are therefore great for athletes before physical exercise, as a healthy snack or sweet treat.
In dates we find important nutrients that contribute to maintaining health and internal harmony of the organism on a physical and spiritual level. Most notably, vitamin B6. Of the minerals, dates are a rich source of potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, manganese and copper. They contain important antioxidants such as flavonoids and carotenoids.
In addition, dates contain useful fiber, which is beneficial for maintaining a well-functioning workout.
Why prefer organic dried fruit?
As with other types of food, it is worth choosing the highest possible quality when it comes to fruit. Organic quality is really a guarantee that you will get minimally contaminated food. Thanks to the controlled organic farming system, organic food does not contain residues of agrochemicals, especially pesticides. Dried fruit from organic farming is not contaminated© and thus contains no additional preservatives or added sugar.Â
Avoid dried fruit with added sugar
Much of the dried fruit from the supermarket is soaked in a sugar solution before drying to make it sweeter and more palatable. Fruit sweetened in this way is, of course, a huge sugar bomb.Â
It has been repeatedly proven that the overconsumption of refined sugar in the human diet has negative health effects, increasing the risk of the most serious diseases, especially type II diabetes. To avoid eating dried fruit with added sugar, read carefully the information on the labels of packaged foods.Â
Choose dried fruit without sulphites
Most of the dried fruit on offer in grocery stores is sulphured. Sulphur dioxide improves the appearance of dried fruit. It is used so that the fruit retains its authentic colour and does not turn brown. This is especially true for brightly coloured fruits such as raisins and apricots.Â
What are the risks of foraged fruit? This preparation can cause stomach pain, headaches, nausea and asthma-type problems in more sensitive individuals.Â
Whether the dried fruit is salted or unsalted should be clear from any packaging in which you purchase it. Either the packaging will say that it is salted, or you will find the preservative E220 on it.
With us you can be sure that you are getting organic dried fruit of superior quality without risky ingredients.
The range of our dates
The home of Medjool Organic Sweet Dates is Israel. The sunny Middle East is known for the best varieties of dates there ever were. Here, too, dates are an important part of the traditional cuisine.Â
They are often roasted on a baking tray or pressed into a loaf called âad?uâ.Â
Our Medjool Organic dates have been grown according to the principles of controlled organic farming. Thanks to this, they retain their nutritional richness in the highest quality.Â
After harvesting, they are sun-dried for several days. They preserve their variety and their typical golden colour. After drying, the dates are washed and carefully hand-sorted. The dates are not sweetened or sown.
And something else interesting
Date palms have been cultivated by man for more than 5,000 years. They are written about in both the Bible and the Koran.Â
Since ancient times, the date palm has spread from its original homeland of Mesopotamia, today's Ireland, to vast dry and warm areas such as Algeria, Egypt, Israel and even California, where it is now widely cultivated.
Dates have really diverse uses in the kitchen:
- They taste great on their own, as a snack during sports activities or as a healthy snack.Â
- Dates can also be used to make RAW desserts, bars, balls and fruit snacks. They can also be added to desserts, smoothies, breakfast bowls, meats and fruit salads.Â
- You can use the sweetened fruit to make date syrup - a natural sweetener for dishes.

Store in a cool, dark and dry place (0 - 4°C, max. 70% humidity). Always close the packaging tightly after use.
Sometimes the sugar in the dates may start to crystallise after a long period of storage. This, however, does not change their nutritional value. In this case, it is sufficient to soak the dates in hot water.
