The fruit of the cacao tree(Theobroma cacao) is botanically classified as a nut and tastes like dark chocolate. Unroasted, they are an excellent way to give the body energy, a good mood, a clear mind and support a healthy lifestyle.
Cacao beans are 100% organic and raw, sourced from Peru. The coconut nectar is organic and the country of origin is Indonesia.
Cocoa beans hide a rich spectrum of benefits for physical health and a clear mind
Flavonoids are substances with antioxidant activity, i.e. they protect the body from the effects of free radicals. They have a wide range of beneficial effects, for example, they contribute together with calcium to the harmonious function of the heart and blood vessels and to the maintenance of normal blood pressure. Their content decreases significantly when cocoa beans are roasted. In addition to cocoa beans, they are also found in fruit, vegetables, tea and red wine.
Anthocyanins are natural dyes of purple colour. They are also found, for example, in blueberries and acai, where they contribute significantly to the beneficial effect on the human body.
Thanks to their iron and magnesium content , they help to reduce fatigue. Specific substances that also contribute to this effect are the purine compounds theobromine and, to a small extent, caffeine. Both substances are quite similar in their effects due to their affinity, but the effect of theobromine is about ten times weaker than that of caffeine. Therefore, neither cocoa beans, nor other snacks made from them, need be concerned about 'over-stimulating the body' or being 'addictive' in the way that coffee is.
On the contrary, both cocoa beans and high-quality pure chocolate induce a pleasant feeling of physical fitness and mental alertness.
Thanks to their magnesium, calcium and potassium content , they contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system, psychological processes and neurotransmission; substances called bioactive amines also contribute to the harmonious function of neurotransmitters (carriers of nerve impulses in the brain) and also contribute to the creation of 'feelings of well-being'.
