The cocoa bean is home to quality chocolate and cocoa

The fruit of the cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) is botanically classified as a berry-like fruit and tastes like dark chocolate. Unroasted, they are an excellent way to give the body energy, a good mood, a clear mind and support a healthy lifestyle.

Peeled cacao beans are one of a range of quality organic ingredients that are 100% natural and 100% raw (RAW).

Health Benefits of Cocoa Beans

Cocoa beans hide a rich spectrum of benefits for physical health and a clear mind

  • Flavonoids are substances with antioxidant activity, i.e. they protect the body from the effects of free radicals. They have a wide range of beneficial effects. Their content decreases significantly when cocoa beans are roasted. In addition to cocoa beans, they are also found in fruit, vegetables, tea and red wine.

  • Anthocyanins are plant pigments with a purple colour. They are also found, for example, in blueberries and acai, where they contribute significantly to the beneficial effect on the human body.

  • Specific substances that also contribute to this effect are the purine compounds theobromine and, to a small extent, caffeine. The two substances have quite similar effects due to their affinity, but the effect of theobromine is about ten times weaker than that of caffeine. Therefore, neither cocoa beans, nor other snacks made from them, need be concerned about 'over-stimulating the body' or being 'addictive' in the way that coffee is.

On the contrary, both cocoa beans and high-quality pure chocolate induce a pleasant feeling of physical fitness and mental alertness.

S pozdravem Michaela
