Famous Desserts: Crème brûlée
A sophisticated French dessert is an impressive sweet ending to a main food. Raw and vegan Crème brûlée is a healthier option to the famous dessert, salted caramel and a rich taste of vanilla jazz it up.
Cake & Dessert Coconut oil, Cocoa butter, Cashews
Ingredients for salted caramel:
- 10 dates
- 2 teaspoons of coconut nectar
- 30 ml water
- ½ teaspoon of Himalayan salt
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
Ingredients for a vanilla cream:
- 2 cups of cashew nuts
- 5 tablespoons of coconut nectar
- 4 teaspoons of cocoa butter
- 2 teaspoons of coconut oil
- vanilla extract
- ¼ cup almond milk
Sprinkle:
- 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar
Instructions for creation of raw Crème brûlée:
Start by making salted caramel. Put the ingredients to a blender and mix until obtaining dense paste. Flavour with Himalayan salt and lay on the bottom of a glass. For cream, you need almond milk which you can easily prepare from almonds and water, you find a recipe here. Put the ingredients to a blender and mix until smooth consistency. Lay cream into glasses on caramel. Finally, sprinkle with coconut sugar.
