Coconut nectar has been re-packaged and now comes in 10 ml more for the same price. Its nutritional values have also been renewed compared to the previous version and the calorie content has been reduced.
The sweet amber coloured liquid nectar from the coconut palm is a delicious culinary ingredient. In addition to tasting great, it is a nutritionally rich natural sweetener. It is sure to win you over with its delicious, slightly caramel taste, similar to maple syrup.
The advantage of coconut palm nectar is its low glycemic index combined with its high nutritional value. It retains a high mineral content and is a natural source of vitamins. Our coconut palm nectar is not mixed with beet sugar nor are any other additives added.
Environmentally friendly production process
The nectar is heated under vacuum conditions to lower the boiling point of the liquid, which gradually evaporates and the nectar thickens. The production method described preserves the natural citrus flavour of the nectar itself.
This new flavour profile has been developed to extend the shelf life. The nectar can thus be stored for a certain period of time without damage.
It is important to note that coconut palm nectar is not produced from the same type of palm used to produce palm oil.
Where coconut nectar comes from
Sweet nectar from Big Tree Farms is one of a range of quality organic ingredients that are 100% natural and have been produced to fair-trade standards. These are coconut palms (Cocos nucifera) that grow in a diverse and natural ecosystem outside of areas with depleted soil. The palms require little water, so this is a sustainable production method. Dobrý den, chci se zeptat, jaký je rozdíl mezi světlým a tmavým kokosovým nektarem? Děkuji
Lukáš Vaníček odpověděl:
rozdíl mezi těmito produkty je různá doba a teplota zahřívání. Světlý se zahřívá kolem 45 stupňů Celsia. Tmavý nektar je zahříván kolem 70 stupňů. Chuť je velice podobná, tmavý mi přijde možná lehce sladší, ale to je věc názoru.

chtěla bych se zeptat, zda je kokosový nektar vhodný i pro diabetiky, jako náhrada cukru a sladidel.
Lukáš Vaníček odpověděl:
oba kokosové nektary jsou pro diabetiky vhodnější než běžný řepný cukr. Mají nižší glykemický index (udává se asi 40 - 50). Výborný je také kokosový cukr, který má podobný GI, jako nektar. Chuť je podobná karamelu. Přeji krásný den.
