Coconut has a wide range of health benefits due to its fiber and nutritious content, and its oil makes it a remarkable source of nutrients and medicine. It is definitely the healthiest oil in the world despite the fact that it is high in saturated fat.

Coconut oil is a very popular food made from the "meat" of the coconut. The coconut has long been the primary source of nutrients in the tropics. Its various industrial and cosmetic applications have made it a viable commodity.

It is heat stable and is therefore very suitable for cooking. It oxidises very slowly, resists rancidity and has a shelf life of approximately two years - virgin coconut oil created by the wet milling process has an 'eternal' shelf life.

It has an antibacterial effect and is excellent for massage and skin care, e.g. in the bath, after sunbathing, as a tooth oil or lubricant.

Coconut oil is obtained by gentle processing of coconuts. It resists the effects of heat and oxidation and remains stable even at high temperatures. It is therefore a great healthy substitute not only for cooking, but also for baking and frying. Coconut oil is easily digestible - the fatty acids in the oil are found in medium-long chains - MCTs - which stimulate metabolism. They promote the absorption of other substances - such as essential fatty acids, which are in short supply in the diet today. It is popular in Ayurvedic and vegetarian cuisine.

Milada 27. August 2017

Nasycené mastné kyseliny rozhodně nejsou zdraví prospěšné a to ani ty v kokosovém oleji. Podporují kornatění tepen, vznik aterosklerózy, ischemické choroby srdeční a infarktu.

Podporuje metabolismus a spalování tuků.
